Ruud Gullit Visit To Ambon

Who does not know Ruud Gullit ? The legendary of Rossoneri team and Dutch National Team.

Ruud Gullit (born in Amsterdam, Netherlands, 1 September 1962) was a Dutch football player. He along with Marco van Basten and Frank Rijkaard was part of the Dutch football team that won the European Cup in 1988.

Ruud Gullit, admitted he was very enjoyed his visit to Ambon. Gullit has been in Ambon since Tuesday (1/9), the legendary of football celebrated his 53rd birthday.

During his visit, the legendary gave advices to Indonesian Football. According to him, Indonesia has the big potential in football. However, it must be started well from Early Childhood Development sides. “Coaching and training should begin in early childhood ie 14-15 years. Within this age is very good because the children learn understanding of basic techniques and balanced with the routine exercises,” said Gullit, in session of press conference in Ambon. The former of AC Milan also said, to support the development must be have qualified coaches that can apply of tactic exercises and techniques well. “I've never watched the Indonesian football team play. But I’m sure, the Indonesian players and coaches have the extraordinary techniques and strategies,” he explained.

Ruud Gullit visits to Ambon is a series of Mangente activities (come and visit) Ambon in 2015. 

“Visit to Ambon as a part of promotion of Ambon city and also increase the spirit of football sport in Maluku, especially in Ambon City.”
